Terms of Use

These terms govern every visit, search, and use of Chelan County Criminal History. By using the site, you accept the conditions below. Do not continue if you do not agree with them.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not affiliated with Chelan County, Washington, or any government body. It is not a consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provides a service for any decision governed by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, insurance, or tenant screening.

1. What This Website Is

Chelan County Criminal History is a private reference resource. It does not hold official records, perform an official background check, retrieve a file, or submit a form for a visitor.

The content routes readers to official custodians, including CCSO Records, the Regional Justice Center, Chelan County courts, Washington State Patrol, and the Washington Sex Offender Public Registry. Some pages also contain tools run by third parties.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use of the site must remain lawful and must not interfere with the service or another person. You agree not to:

  • Violate federal, Washington, or local law
  • Use information to threaten, stalk, intimidate, or harass anyone
  • Use content for a purpose governed by the FCRA
  • Seek unauthorized entry to any account, server, or system
  • Deploy bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Disrupt access, overload pages, or impede another visitor

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Record information must not be used for harassment, threats, stalking, intimidation, vigilantism, or unlawful discrimination. The Chelan County registry is published for community safety and awareness. RCW 4.24.550 controls Washington community disclosure, and the county warns against illegal punitive action. Registry information does not authorize a visit, confrontation, trespass, or threat.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This site does not create credit reports, background reports, or any other consumer report as the FCRA defines that term. Information from the site or a linked tool may not be used for a regulated eligibility decision.

  • Do not use it for a credit decision
  • Do not use it for an employment decision
  • Do not use it for tenant screening
  • Do not use it to determine insurance eligibility
  • Do not use it for another purpose regulated by the FCRA

A person who needs a legally compliant official product must use the authorized Washington State Patrol channel or another provider suited to that lawful purpose.

5. No Legal Advice

The content is general information, not legal advice. It cannot determine how a Chelan County charge, warrant, conviction, vacation, sealing rule, or filing deadline applies to a specific person. Consult a licensed Washington attorney for advice.

6. No Warranties

All content and services are supplied "as is." No warranty is made that:

  • Every detail is accurate, complete, or current
  • Access will always be uninterrupted
  • The site is free from every error or security risk
  • A partner tool will return a complete or correct result

Government records, hours, portals, fees, and release rules can change. A charge may also be amended, dismissed, vacated, or sealed. Only the originating Chelan County or Washington office can verify current official information.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links can lead to government portals, legal resources, and outside search providers. We do not control a destination's content, fees, security, availability, or privacy practices. Its own terms apply after a visitor leaves this site.

8. Intellectual Property

Unless stated otherwise, the site's text, graphics, logo, and code belong to Chelan County Criminal History or its content partners. They may not be copied, distributed, changed, or reused without written permission.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by Washington law, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site, reliance on its content, interruption of access, or use of a linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims, demands, actions, and reasonable costs arising from your use of the site or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Washington law governs these terms. Any dispute arising from site use must be brought in a court with proper jurisdiction in Washington. Agency-record access remains subject to the Washington Public Records Act, chapter 42.56 RCW, and criminal-history dissemination remains subject to chapter 10.97 RCW.

12. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised. A revision takes effect when the new version is posted on this page.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without prior notice, including when use threatens the service or violates these terms.

14. Severability

If a court finds one provision invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in force. The affected term will be narrowed only as needed to make it enforceable.

15. Questions

Questions about these terms may be directed through the Contact page.
