How to Check Criminal History in Cashmere
Choose the Cashmere record that answers the question. A Cashmere deputy report comes from Chelan County Sheriff's Office Records. A current Cashmere custody entry comes from the county Regional Justice Center. Cashmere Sheriff Contract Law
Cashmere Municipal Code 2.68.010 authorizes Cashmere to contract with another government body for law enforcement. Cashmere does not publish an independent police department. In practical terms, a sheriff deputy remains a CCSO officer while serving a Cashmere call, and the report created from that Cashmere call remains in the sheriff's records system.

No Cashmere Police Department
A search for a Cashmere Police Department records desk starts from a false premise. No independent Cashmere police unit was verified. CCSO is the law-enforcement report custodian for Cashmere contract deputy work. Cashmere City Hall may still hold records about the Cashmere contract itself, city policy, budgets, public meetings, or other Cashmere administrative work. The city need not create a new explanation or compile a new report in response. It searches for existing records described with reasonable clarity. For a deputy narrative, skip this form and use the sheriff's request process.
Arrests and Bookings in Cashmere
Cashmere has no published city jail. A person taken into Cashmere custody by a contract deputy moves into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center system in Wenatchee. The Cashmere booking record may list CCSO as the arresting agency even though the event location is Cashmere. That is consistent with Cashmere contract policing, not evidence that the event occurred elsewhere.
A booking entry captures intake and custody facts, such as booking identity, listed allegations, bail or release information, and status. It does not prove prosecutors filed the same charge. Search the jail register for current custody, request older jail material from the Regional Justice Center, and get the incident narrative from CCSO. Then search the court named on the citation or filing to learn what was charged and how the case ended.

Three Cashmere Record Numbers
A Cashmere incident number, booking number, and court case number are separate keys. CCSO assigns the Cashmere incident or event identifier to its law-enforcement file. The jail assigns a Cashmere booking identifier at intake. A court assigns a Cashmere case number only after a charging document, citation, or other matter enters that court. One Cashmere number rarely works in all three systems.

Cashmere's ordinance disposition materials show that an older Cashmere municipal-court ordinance was repealed. No active Cashmere Municipal Court portal was located. Do not invent a Cashmere municipal court counter or search screen. Follow the Cashmere citation's printed instructions and use Chelan County District Court channels for applicable limited-jurisdiction matters.
The statewide court search can locate district and municipal indexes, but the named court is the source for the authoritative file, copies, and current status. A city document-center search is not a criminal docket.

Cashmere Records Without One Index
Cashmere explains that it does not maintain a comprehensive index of all Cashmere public records because building and keeping one would be unduly burdensome. That statement is not a blanket Cashmere refusal to disclose records. Cashmere must still search for specific, identifiable, nonexempt records that it holds when a request gives enough detail.

Where Cashmere Records End Up
Cashmere contract service creates a multi-office Cashmere record trail. CCSO retains the Cashmere deputy's incident and arrest report. The Regional Justice Center maintains any Cashmere booking record. Prosecutors make an independent charging choice, and the court named in the Cashmere filing records the judicial case. Qualifying Cashmere arrest and disposition data may later reach the Washington State Patrol's Washington State Identification System.

Each stage can differ. The deputy may list an arrest allegation that prosecutors amend or decline. A booking record can vanish from a current roster after release. A court result can exist before the state repository updates. WATCH provides official public statewide conviction history plus limited pending-arrest information within its stated scope, but its name and date-of-birth match is not positive identity. Use fingerprint-based review for one's own stronger identity match.
Cashmere Criminal Records in Context
Cashmere sits along the Wenatchee River and U.S. 2 between Leavenworth and Wenatchee. The Office of Financial Management estimated 3,420 Cashmere residents inside the incorporated city on April 1, 2025. That Cashmere city figure should not be confused with a larger census division or service area using the Cashmere name.
CCSO's announcement of 2026 National Night Out at Riverside Park illustrates the sheriff's visible role in Cashmere community policing. It does not turn all county sheriff activity into Cashmere crime data. Use an official city-specific or contract-city table if one is available. Countywide CCSO offense totals include work in multiple contract cities, rural places, and other parts of its jurisdiction.
When Cashmere Lacks the Report
If Cashmere says it does not hold a Cashmere deputy report, treat that response as a routing clue. Confirm the Cashmere incident was handled by CCSO. A current jail search cannot replace this request, and a court index will not show the officer's full narrative. If the court search is blank, check the correct level and spelling, allow for filing time, and contact the court on the citation. If the issue concerns a Cashmere city contract or council file instead, return to the city public-records officer with a specific written request.
Note: The right custodian is based on who made the record, not simply on the city where the event occurred.
Public Access Rules for Cashmere Records
The Washington Public Records Act applies to identifiable, nonexempt agency records held by Cashmere and CCSO. An agency's five-business-day duty is to produce, acknowledge with an estimate, seek clarification, or deny with reasons. It does not guarantee full delivery within five days. A narrow request helps the agency search and can reduce review, copy, and redaction work.
Court case records follow judiciary rules, chiefly GR 31, rather than the ordinary agency request process. Chapter 10.97 RCW also limits dissemination of nonconviction criminal history. Cashmere Inspection or Record Copies
The Cashmere request asks whether the requester wants to inspect records or receive copies. Inspection can be useful when the requester needs to identify a small set of pages before paying for copies. Copies are more convenient when the exact record is already known or travel is hard. Ask about the current fee and delivery method before committing to a large production.
For sheriff material, CCSO posts base charges of $0.15 per paper page, $0.10 per scanned page, $0.05 per electronic file attachment, and $0.10 per gigabyte transmitted. Media and postage can be charged at actual cost. Those county figures do not automatically define Cashmere's city fee for every format, so confirm the city schedule for city-held records.
